Heart Tones - lullabies from around the world - Volume 2

The birth of their children inspired producers Philipp v. Rothkirch and Robert Cummings to produce a CD of international lullabies in 2011. Supported by the "Initiative Musik" of the German Federal Government, the second CD "Heart Tones - lullabies from around the world - Volume 2" has now been created with titles from 13 countries. Roughly 25 musicians from around the world, most of whom live in Berlin, recorded traditional and newly composed songs at the Hot Milk Studio in Berlin Kreuzberg. The listener can hear particularly soft and soothingly recorded sounds from Indonesia, Brazil, Iran, Ukraine, Italy and other countries.
"Cross-border" features the masterful playing of the kanun by turkish musician Serkan Ky, which accompanies the singing of Australian singer Julia Messenger. Exciting sounds come from Mongolian overtone singer Hosoo, accompanied by traditional horsehead fiddles. Ukrainian singer Roksana Vikaluk, who has been living near Berlin for several years, delivers an epic piece full of marvelous surprises.

    Packaging: 6 pages digipack
Attention: For known reasons we have renounced the cellophaning of the CD.

Hush, hush, hush-a-bye little man, be quiet baby, Be quiet, Daddy will be back in the morning. Hush, hush, hush-a-bye little man, be quiet baby, Be quiet, Daddy will be back in the morning. There's a star that will draw him home. It will illuminate his path home to Where we are. All will urge on, They'll say, go back. He returned to this home. Hush, hush-a-bye baby Hush, hush-a-bye baby.

It's spring, flowers are blooming The nightingale has started to sing The sweet scent of violets Hyacinth season has arrived clouds in the sky They left and the sun has come The stars in between It's like moonlight Put your eyes on each other Sleep, then it is time to sleep Sleep, then it is time to sleep
4.
A cherry orchard by the house ("Sadok vyshnevyi kolo khaty") A cherry orchard by the house. Above the cherries beetles hum. The plowmen plow the fertile ground And girls sing songs as they pass by. It’s evening—mother calls them home. A family sups by the house. A star shines in the evening chill. A daughter serves the evening meal. Time to give lessons—mother tries, But can’t. She blames the nightingale. It’s getting dark, and by the house, A mother lays her young to sleep; Beside them she too fell asleep. All now went still, and just the girls And nightingale their vigil keep.

perfect clouds in the sky as I sing my lullaby perfect stars on this night as I lay in my bed softly dream in your arms sweetly lure me with charm watch my float into the world of dreams take me far away to those distant lands I want to fly with butterflies and moonbeams all in loving hands stary skies on this night lent to me your soft light where I am safe in your arm I feel peace is near as I enter dream land until dawn is at hand day will keep until morn to see me on my way take me far away to those distant lands I want to fly with butterflies and moonbeams all in loving hands take me far away to those distant lands and when all the world is sleeping I´ll be sprinkling stardust so bright.....

Hush-a-bye baby, Where did your mum go? She went to the birch-tree grove To collect berries for little Tasslima Sleep, my baby, I will put you in the cradle When you're in the cradle I'll be right beside you
8.
The lights are dimmed, the clouds are asleep the waves are lulling us whispering that you are my little sunshine and you’ll always be and nothing will be more important than your happiness. I'll show you a beautiful place where people sing with their hearts go boldly and when you get lost, remember where you'll always be a little sunshine that's where your home is. The clouds are asleep, the lights are out the waves are lulling us whispering that you are my sunshine and you’ll always be and nothing will be more important than your happiness

Sleep tight my dear My child, the fruit of my heart Rest peacefully in your mother's lap My child, lay down your body Drift off into a peaceful slumber Close your eyes Underneath the stars The angels will always watch over you Embrace sweet dreams Until morning approaches Rest now Sleep tight my dear

The grass still smells, Far away a trill, it is the nightingale Singing to the sun It is setting Among the golden leaves A quiet rocking The breeze will lull you The gentle song of the wind Singing new life Deep croaks grace the night Slow silence, the moon caresses dreams Lullaby of the moon Sweeps away the shadows of the heart Lullaby divine Melodious breath Whispers in the night wind Tiny petals Like pillows for dreaming Dewy kisses Warm fingers caress Crystal notes Resound in my heart

Listen to the bells, their chime. Listen to the story I'm going to tell you. On my lap my baby is falling asleep.
